Since Gixen is a proxy service, what youre doing is giving them your eBay credentials so they can bid on your behalf. My decision was based on a balance of cost & reliability. I have finally decided on my choice for sniping. Costs did vary considerably, & many suffered from bloat (providing nice, but too much un-needed information). There are many out there & most of them are very similar. So, after these poor efforts I decided that using an online service would be my next approach.

Their free trial was they loaded X amount of "tokens" into your account, and you used them. I never gave my name, credit card number, ANYTHING other than my ebay user ID and password. but this was long before the subscription craze, and before subscription companies got smart.
